5.34 Where appropriate sustainable building construction techniques will be used in line with current building regulations.

5.35 The Development Brief for the Seaton Regeneration area states in paragraph 26.0 that it expects development on the site will “demonstrate best practice in terms of the overall concept of any development proposals and also in respect of the constructional details. Residential development will be tested against the EcoHomes Standard and the commercial development in relation to the BREEAM standards, where these exist.” These standards are summarised in Appendix 3 of this document.
