Housing Profile
The new housing proposed on the site will help to make Seaton a more balanced community with a range of house types available that will appeal to a broad age range. Currently the population has a high proportion of older/retired people and proportionately fewer smaller houses. It is anticipated that the development will encourage more young people to buy in the town by offering a greater range of housing.
The proposed housing will reflect a high level of design and sustainability, delivering a high quality product to Seaton and further improving the area. A design guide will be produced in line with the Development Brief to ensure this quality.
There will also be affordable housing within the housing provision to help alleviate the current crisis in the county.
