Community Facilities

A number of existing public facilities will need to be removed to make way for the scheme, but in some shape or form they will be replaced. These facilities include:

• Tourist information Centre
  
• Public Car Park
  
• Public WCs
  
• Youth Club
  

Additional community facilities flowing from the scheme:

• New Public Square – with active frontages
  
• Public access – footpaths and cycleways across the site to the river Axe
  
• Visitor Centre – to be designed with the needs of the community in mind.
  
• Sustrans Terminus / Cycle hire
• New community facilities – as extension or part of an enlarged Visitors Centre
  
• Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve – a benefit to the local community as well as tourists.
  
• New Hotel and Restaurant
